I'm the backup administrator for a large retail enterprise. We are currently backing up upwards of 830 VM's ( Linux and Windows )
We currently run a number of Oracle DB's on Linux.
For the smaller DB's we require a filesytem backup without the Database files. This would save on backup time and space. However the exclusions list doesn't work on Linux Filesystems.

Re: Feature Request : Linux supported File Exclusions
Correct, we only support NTFS excludes with out VM image level backup.
Possible solutions:
- Place the database files on a separate disk (I think anyway best practices) and exclude the disk from processing: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100
- Use Veeam Agent for Linux and select the data that you need. You can roll the Agent out from B&R an manage it from there (no extra license): https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=40
