Feature Request: Lock a Backup
A few times I have had to maintain a backup longer than the retention. If we had the capability to set an expiration date manually on the backup or "Lock" a backup from a maintenance cleanup it would be beneficial. Right now the only ways that work are to load the backup as an Instant Recovery, or keep a FLR open for an extended period of time. Theses are not always viable options. An example would be a request to keep a backup for 6 months for forensics purposes, but during that time I need to patch my systems as required by InfoSec. If I patch the Repository server, the IR or FLR dies and maintenance immediately executes cleanup.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your request. It looks reasonable and some of the storages do have such functionality on their side.
