Hi,
Feature Request as subjected.
We have an Scale-Out that is unbalanced right now.
3 extents with 10TB, 120TB and 90TB free disk scace. All three is linux repositorys.
The only way to rebalance manually is to copy files via Veeam Console and "Files".
Then manually delete files via SSH (we have 4 eyes authorization activatedm so I cant remove the files from "Files" in Veeam Console)
The request I have is to get the possibility to rightclick on a backupjob under "Disk", select Move and then have the oppotunity to select extents inside the same ScaleOut.
Now is the only possible choice for "Move" to select another Scaleout or an repository that is not part of the ScaleOut.
I know there is an automatic rebalance function built in, but we dont know how long time it will take to rebalance and it put the whole Scale Out in maintenance, that is not an option for us.
We did an automatic rebalance on our secondary scaleout, it took about 18 hours and the size is about 600TB. Our primary scale out is about 900TB so our gueses is that it take more time than 18 hours..

Re: Feature Request: "Move" backups from one extent to another extent in the same ScaleOut
Use Seal. Will prevent and "force" new backups in other extent. We done this before instead of moving/migrating backups over the weeks the extent sealed will get empty in a "natural" way, then when size estabilized you can trigget a Evacuation Backups to other extent.

Re: Feature Request: "Move" backups from one extent to another extent in the same ScaleOut
Thanks! I will try this solution (work around).
But the availibility to choose extents in the same Scale-Out will be, in my case, easier and more accurate to move just the jobs I want to move.
