Feature Request - Read-Only Backup Repository

I have a feature request... Can we please add a read-only Backup Repository? I know - it sounds like a weird request and defeats the purpose of a Backup Repository (which is for backing up to), but it would have it's uses. In our case, we are utilizing HP StoreOnce appliances both locally and remote, and other backup software data co-exists with Veeam on these devices - software that doesn't handle self replication. So the decision was made to allow the StoreOnce to handle all data replication between the appliances.

The StoreOnce replication works well, however at the remote sites we would like to be able to access the "remote" (which would technically be local to it) appliance's Backup Repository in read-only mode (from a secondary Veeam installation there) to facilitate things such as populating the WAN Accelerator's target cache and scheduled importing of backups.
