Feature request: Restore guest files (Microsoft windows) using file name

Post by lubrimetal »

Hello,
now is not possible to restore a file by searching it using its name into all backup jobs.

example: file name xxxx.doc - seven days (or more) of backup job.

to "keep" (or verify the size and date) of all seven (or more) xxxx.doc you must create seven restore job….

 wasted time…. no one else has this need?

Ciao… (sorry for my poor english)

Hey Nicola.
There's a PowerShell script you can try here:

Uao…. grazie Dmitry for your prompt reply!!!
I'll try your suggestion.
In any case my post to "stimulate" the Veeam technicians to improve the "restore" menu with a new feature.
Ciao from Italy….

Do you have Enterprise Manager installed? If so, enable backup indexing functionality in backup jobs, after that you will be able to search for particular file. Thanks.
