Feature Request - Scale out Repository

Feature Request - Scale out Repository

I would like Veeam to automatically do a full backup to the redundant repository when the primary repository is down. I thought a scale-out repository would do this, but it doesn't. I get this error message "Unable to apply retention policy: failed to delete backup files Error: Backup file cannot be accessed because it is located on extent in maintenance mode."
Thank you,
Monica

The option is actually available:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95

but "Perform full backup when required extent is offline" is not checked by default. Obviously, with this one you can expect additional space consumption, as a tradeoff for additional availability.

Hi,

I'm on v12 July 2023 patch and option "Perform full backup when required extent is offline" is checked.
One of my extent is having disk issue, so I put it into maintenance mode. During daily backup run, the full backup is being created to another healthy extent. The option is working.

6:01:09 PM Forcing active full backup according to scale-out repository settings

But, I still get the same error as reported in first post and my main backup job will finished with error, even though individual VM backup is successful.
