Email alert before running script - Case # 04555189

Running scripts before and after backup job to turn on and off NIC to production network to air gap backups. Currently notification that job is done does not make it because it runs after the script which has already turned off network access. Requesting this be added as an option to do notification before running script. thank you.

Hi Juan!

Sounds a little scary to me, because said script success might be crucial for business operation and not having it in the job email notification equation can lead to a worse scenarios.
Anyhow, your case is easily worked around with a post-job script that triggers another script with short delay timeout on killing network activity - backup job will finish with Success(script did trigger another script) and you will get your notification. In a few minutes(whatever your timeout is), 2nd script will kill the network.
