Feature Request:
For email notification it should be possible (In Options => Email Settings), instead of sending the email via SMTP to run a external program.
Via this feature, we don't have to edit each job with post cmds/batch.
We are monitoring our backup with a external tool.
If the backup job fails, we are calling a external programm, that creates in our internal helpdesk a ticket, that gets than assigend to a supporter group.

Re: Feature Request VEEAM Backup & Replication
So basically you're talking about global post-job action depending on the job status, right?

You can use Veeam ONE to trigger the required script based on the backup job result.

Re: Feature Request VEEAM Backup & Replication
But if you disable notifications for this job, and put post-job activity into use you will achieve exactly the same, won't you? The an email won't be sent, but some external program/action will be executed. The only thing that is currently missing (as Foggy's pointed out) is ability to run activity based on the latest job result. However, it can be bypassed easily with a simple PS script. For email notification it should be possible (In Options => Email Settings), instead of sending the email via SMTP to run a external program.
Thanks.
