during the restore process i would like to have the option to view and modify the oracle init parameters of the oracle instance
The problem is that our instances need specific init parameters to work properly with the attached software.
A restore eliminates some of them an resets them to default.
one example is the parameter:
_add_col_optim_enabled=FALSE
kind regards
Alex

Re: Feature Request: View and modify the oracle init parameters
I would suggest using RMAN (9.5 U4 contains a plugin for RMAN). By default Rman backups the spfile (containing the configured Oracle parameters) with each database backup.
