Feature Reuqest: IP based NFS permission

Post by i3itservice »

Regarding to Support Case 01685853 I would like to raise a feature request.

I would like to have a feature to restrict access vPower NFS repository which is limited by IP. I want to mount a Veeam NFS Store in ESXi. It´s not possible to do this with a username/password in this case.

Thanks.

Just so I understand, restricting connections "TO" the vPower NFS? Have you tried as a workaround to create windows firewall rules on the windows machine running vPower?

Yes thats right and yes I have create Windows Firewall rules to prevent access. This is a workarount. But I think it would be nice to do that directly in Veeam.

Hi, to be honest I don't see this feature adding much value to the product when workaround is so easy to implement, and so readily available. I like to leverage the power of Windows platform to save our R&D costs, and instead have developers work on stuff you can't get via simple workarounds. Thanks!
