Featurerequest Exchange Restore PublicFolder Items
Hi Veeam Support,
we try to restore some objects from a public folder (contacts)
on the exchange server the deleted objects are stored default 14 days.
so we see at the restore all objects at the state of the backup + 14 days.
now we can´t separate the real objects from the deleted.
we have 200 contacts in the restore browser but there are over 50 deleted the last days. so we restore them and have all 200 contacts in the folder.
your support can´t help us to mark only the 150 for restore. there are no filter or marks at the objects.
we have 200 restored and have to delete and separate the 50 manually.
if you need the ticket number please contact me direct...
thank you
regards

Hi Markus,
First: Welcome to the forums!
Just to make sure I understand it correctly. You would want us to see the difference what is in the backup and what is live in the production server. Is that correct?

Hi Mike,
yes that is right.
example:
i had 100 objects in the Folder
in the last 14 days someone delete 50.
so i see in the restore Explorer 100 objects and can´t see the state of them so that i can restore only the 50 "good" objects...

Markus,
I will pass this to the team that is responsible for our Veeam Explorer for Exchange but I am not sure if it is that easy to build so certainly no promises at this moment
But your vote is counted and will be looked at!

Just to clarify, you're restoring to an alternate location, right? Since in case of restore to original location, there's a check box to restore just missing items.

No we restore to the original location. but we also try it to an alternate path.
i think the checkbox not working correct.
we had "all" or "nothing" after to restore in the folder. only the difference is what we need...

So do you want to be able to restore all (changed) objects except those that were deleted?
