FibreChanel / iscsi RAW Lun
Hello Veeam Experts,
we have a Fileserver in VMware we Backup Full 900Gig c: \ d: \ e: \ f: also we have a RAW LUN G: Mapped with 1 TB but i cant see the Volume in VMware Veeam Backup settings ?
Thts very bad...how can i backup the MAPPED RAW Luns ?

Disks connected to VM via ISCSI can't be shapshoted, therefore, they are not supported by VB&R. Such disks are automatically skipped from processing. Thanks.

Vladimir already explained you why, this is a limit of VMware.
Any reason you are keeping it as a RDM disk, and not converting it to proper VMDK? In this way you would be able to protect it too.

I know sometimes RDM are a remnant of the past, when best practices in old ESXi versions suggested to use them. The conversion process is not that hard, as long as you can schedule a short stop of the VM. Maybe this can help you, I wrote about it some time ago:
