HI Guys,
I was not able to find anything on the forums directly related to this issue so I thought I would post it.
I was trying to use a File copy job to copy my Reverse incremental backups to a remote repository.
Unfortunately the job only copied the .vbm files.
As it turns out, If you have (or did have) DE-Duplication turned on, the de-duplication process marks files that it de-duplicates with the "APL" file attributes (Attributes : Archive, SparseFile, ReparsePoint).
The .vbm files are so small that they are never de-duped so they still work. They only have the A attribute set.
Great work by Mark in Veeam support for spotting the subtle difference in the file attributes.
Hopefully a fix will be available for this.
This issue is logged under Veeam Case # 00540981
Thanks
Brion
