Re: File Copy Job Question
I too would prefer a more useful File Copy feature in VEEAM backup. There is no sync option (incremental tracking) in the File Copy options.
The common response is "there are plenty of tools (i.e., rsync) to achieve this."
Well my response is, there are even more tools to do a simple dumb file copy. Id prefer some intelligence be built into VEEAM File Copy so that we dont have to add additional proccess' to our environment when we want to keep two repositories syncronized. (a very common need)

Re: File Copy Job Question
+1 for synchronization on file copy jobs.
We use this to copy files to an Amazon S3 bucket that is mapped to our Veeam server (using a 3rd party tool). Currently the File Copy job must copy the entire directory (which will eventually be 10TB+). It would be nice to have Veeam only copy new items. I will be changing over to using a 3rd part tool to do this for now, but it would be super nice if Veeam could do it for me.

Re: File Copy Job Question
Caleb, in your case copy mode of Capacity Tier functionality (planned for future updates) seems to be the answer. Thanks!

+1 Incremental file copy.
If Veeam do it, We will not need to use scripts or 3rd party solutions.

Re: File Copy Job Question
Hello Ayhan,
Can you please clarify your use case? If file copy is used for backup, you can replace it with file level backup job which does provide incremental backup. It was designed for file shares but can work for regular servers (Windows or Linux) as well. Thanks!
