Hi,
Does Veeam currently supports changed block tracking in File Copy Jobs?
I would like to backup files from Windows PC to Windows Share, but I really don't want to overwrite the files every time the backup is taken.
Thanks for help.

Re: File Copy Job using changed block tracking
Hi Peter
Changed block tracking is not related to "overwrite the files every time the backup is taken". Change block tracking helps to reduce load on the production environment. A backup software only has to read changed blocks and not the entire source disk.
If you want to protect a specific folder with files, you could use a Veeam Agent file backup job. The agent will create a full backup and then only incremental backups.
And in version 6 of our Agent we even support changed block tracking for Veeam Agent File backup jobs (Workstation or Server Edition).
Best,
Fabian

No, they don't have this capability. File Copy jobs are just copying file from one location to another.Does Veeam currently supports changed block tracking in File Copy Jobs?
