File transfer going directly or via backup server?

Hi,

I found FILES section in Veeam B&R more friendly than standalone ESX 6.5 datastore browser (total disaster, if you ask me). But I am wondering how are files transfered when I copy them INSIDE SAME ESX HOST from datastore to datastore (still within same ESX host):
- are files transfered to my B&R server and then back to host?
- or is transfer initiated internally, from store1 to store2 within ESX host?

To answer myself - such transfers are initiated on ESX host, so files are not travelling back and forth.
