FLR Guest Files (Other OS) - Mounting disks timeout < 10mins

Running a Guest Files (Other OS) session on a particular VM appears to timeout after 10 minutes at the stage it is Mounting disks.

Can this be increased.?
I presume this might be down to speed of backup storage.
Have tried other VM's and they complete the mount and provide the Explorer.

VM Info:
VM in question is SLES11 SP3
Has 6 virtual hard disks.
Total storage is 340GB
Contains:
2 disks that create a single LVM Volume group with filesystems on reiserfs
2 disks used for swap
2 disks partitioned using ext3 filesystem

Do other VMs also take long to mount their disks for the FLR process? Did you also use Other OS wizard for VMs that were successfully mounted?

Hi Stuart,

You can set the timeout by specifying the following registry value that should go under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication:

InactiveFLRSessionTimeout
Type: REG_DWORD

Value is in seconds.

I missed some early information.

The FLR appliance times out and stops the session before completing mounting the disks.
It completes flr-mount-all.sh
It Initializes LVM (flr-init-lvm.sh) of which it finds 13 logical volumes in the volume group.
Then it is at the next phases it does not complete....

The session times out as it has not been able to complete the mounting of the LVM volumes.

I have input that registry value and made it 30 minutes - it makes no difference as it ended after 10 minutes again.

Interestingly this VM in SureBackup takes 18 minutes to pass the Powering on phase.

I suspect that it is replaying filesystem journals.

Is there any way to make the FLR appliance on the console more verbose?

Stuart, what Veeam B&R version are you running and are we talking about VMware or Hyper-V?

I think I am closer to understanding the timeout. The VM in question is Linux. It has LVM Volume Group and Logical Volumes with REISERFS filesystems.
When I perform a SureBackup of this VM it takes 15 minutes to complete the Powering On phase.
From the console of this VM in SureBackup I can see it replaying journal transactions for the filesystem which is taking the majority of this phase.
So can only presume that this is the root cause for the failure to display the Restore Browser when in the FLR appliance at the mounting event.

I did change that registry value but makes no difference.
