"For The Ability To Restore" Snapshot

Post by chg_it »

Hi all,

Hopefully a question that someone can answer in no time at all.

I've noticed on my test V6 server that Veeam seems to create a snap of itself with the description "For the ability to restore" and this snap just sits there.

Is this by design and can it be turned off?

Thanks

Hi, Veeam has nothing to deal with this snapshot. I am guessing this snapshot was created manually by your fellow administrators. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. I've confirmed with the only other admin that he's not creating them, so something strange is going on, and must be related to our recent migration of one cluster to vSphere 5.... Cheers

Did you consolidate it and it reappeared again?

Yep, three times now and it keeps coming back. I've just consolidated, and changed the account our test Veeam 6 box uses to authenticate to Virtual Centre so I can start to pinpoint why it's doing it. Very strange!
