Case #05510265
I recently upgraded to 11.0.1.1261 and after doing the upgrade, I have been seeing this error pop up when trying to back up various VMs about 8 out of 10 times.
I have done:
A full restart of my B&R server
A full restart of my dns server (pihole with local dns)
A full restart of all vmware hosts in my cluster
Multiple tests to ensure my dns server is returning results for the hostnames of my VMs, including load testing with several requests per second.
I'm open to ideas for further troubleshooting and would appreciate any suggestions! As required there is a case open with logs attached that I've named in the top of this post.

the error indicates a DNS issue. As you are using community edition ("best effort" support), I suggest searching through c:\programdata\veeam\... (I use nodepad++ with "find in files) for the error message and see which component is affected
