Full VM Restore

Post by ftbug »

Hi, I am currently trying to perform a full VM restore of an old machine from a cloud repository, however, when we get to choose the VM and the restore point, we are being asked for credentials.

What credentials would this be? Is it an account on the guest OS, the account used for Cloud connect, or an account on the Cloud server?

Freddie, could you please provide a screenshot of the step, where credentials are requested?

Hi Foggy,

it is once we have chosen a VM from backups and chosen a restore point.

How would be best to provide a screenshot?

What if you try credentials for the host where the original VM resides?

Hi Foggy,

these credentials do not seem to work, are these credentials not specific to one we have used previously?

Just out of curiosity - is it an imported backup? You aren't using any special roles, such as Backup Operator, are you? Thanks.

Hi Foggy, thanks for the assistance. it seemed that we were having issues with the actual file not being seen properly. after rescanning the repository our side and reimporting we were able to access the files and restore the machine. Thanks again
