GCE restore from object storage external IP requirement
Is there anything in the works to remove the need for external IP addresses when restoring to GCE from object storage? Our security team and cloud architects want to disable the use of external IP addresses but this causes our Veeam restores to fail. It works fine on the restore part with the first proxy/worker that is created not using an external IP but when it gets to the disk conversion part where it fires up the next proxy/worker, it will fail on this part if external IPs are not allowed. We've asked support about this before, and maybe on the forum too, but were told that we must enable external IPs. Just wondering if there is any new direction or update on this.
