GDPR and restore operations
Client wants to know
1) who and when was doing restore
2) for how long history is kept
3) where can they see history
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong
For backup activity we can check
1) Through VBR console we see only last 24 hours
2) for more we need to check folder C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup and search under specific folder for each job / replication
3) data about backup is kept forever?
What about restore operations? Where are they logged?
1) C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\FLRSessions ?
2) for how long they are kept?
Thanks

Re: GDPR and restore operations
Hello,
You are right, the information is in VBR logs. Logs retention depends on the settings.
You may simply check Veeam ONE Restore Operator Activity report to get the data in readable way without parsing the logs.
Thanks!

Re: GDPR and restore operations
Hi ,
Does that mean if we set General Options / History / Session history retention to
Keep all sessions
that we will have both backup + restore activities logging forever?
Thanks Matjaž

Re: GDPR and restore operations
This refers to sessions data to be displayed in UI. Log files retention is configured with the help of registry values.bc2011 wrote:Does that mean if we set General Options / History / Session history retention to

Re: GDPR and restore operations
OK. That refers to backup jobs or restore also?

Re: GDPR and restore operations
I've checked with QA, yes, these values apply to all log files.
