Hello,
A scenario:
a customer has one large fileserver vm.
Customer wants to save the files on different guest disks based on GDPR.
Currently, retention policy is set per backup job but customer asked if it is possible to set different retention policies on different vm-disks in the same job.
Above request derives from the fact that the maximum time customer data may exist in the backup files can differ according to GDPR.
Any thoughts about this customers way of reasoning ?
If it makes sense, any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: GDPR - different retention policies on guest disks
Hello Johnny,
Currently it's not possible to set separate retention for particular objects in job. However it's possible to exclude particular VM disks from the job and process them in another job with suitable retention.
Thanks!
