Guest OS file backup to disk?

Post by B.F. »

I understand that Guest OS file backup to tape is an option with Veeam. Is it possible to do something similar but point the files to disk?

Thanks!

You can do this with the help of Veeam Endpoint Backup.

Interesting. I can also see that Backup Copy can also be used with them too!

Thanks

Hi,

Backup to tape jobs and backup copy jobs support VEB backups as a source, so you are good to go.

OK, this leads me to a tangent question.

Can Veeam backup a VM AND Endpoint files on the same tape?

Yes, since backups created by VEB are stored in the same format as backup files created by Veeam B&R server.
