Why is this in v13 not available?
How can we view/managed the files/folders on an immutable/hardened repository? Only with ssh connection! But ssh is disable for hardening so I have to enable ssh each time I need to manage the files/folders.
Do you have an idea or hint to view/managed the files/folders in an easy way again?
Actually you can't "manage" files without SSH in any case, as they are immutable. So either way, you MUST enable SSH and logon as root, in order to remove the immutability flag before you can manage files.
The "why" has been discussed before, use search to find.
Hi!
Thanks for the quick answer, but not all files are immutable, only for example the last 14 days. Other files it is possible to manage.
Sometimes I have to delete files because Application Backups write backups on it and this was a double-verifcation-check, when a server-folder don't have a recent file in his folder, I inform the Application server owner.
Other topic when I have backups on it, and the organization offboarding process does not work well, I have to delete the orphanded files/folder.
With v12 I have done this with the File-View in der VBR-Console.
We have plans to bring this feature back via a registry key. I’m currently checking the status of that request — I will let you know when I have an update.
Best,
Fabian

I double checked and the registry key is available since v13.0.2.
Simply implement the configuration key and then reopen the backup console.
For Windows-based Veeam Backup & Replication Deployment, add this registry value:
Key Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\
Value Name: DisplayHardenedHostsBrowser
Value Type: DWORD (32-Bit) Value
Value Data: 1
For Veeam Software Appliance (Veeam Backup & Replication on Linux), add this value to the configuration settings (KB4779):
Configuration file: /etc/veeam/veeam_backup_and_replication.conf
Section: [root]
Setting: DisplayHardenedHostsBrowser=1
Hi @DaStivi
I'm not sure what you mean by your feedback. Did you got access to the reg key before and it didn't worked as expected?
strangly for me, I do see "backup jobs" but i don't see the backup copy job folders in the files tree...
I see backup copy jobs (Windows VBR v13.0.2, old v2 HR iso):
I don't have the regkey in place, but I DO see "normal" Backup Job folders in the File-Tree!
but i don't see Folders from Backup Copy Jobs in the file tree!?
Sorry, nevermind I just looked up under the incorrect structure, i got the VHR Displayed under the Tape objects!
