Doesn't sound funny and it isn't. Had it all set up a while ago and started it manually 1 or 2 times. Then I lost focus on it a bit because, among other things, I wanted to implement Veeam hardening, the switch to independent users per location, MFA and the dual control principle. Today, I actually wanted to switch everything on for regular rotation and no longer see my lab in the backup infrastructure...
In [Backup Infrastructure -> Virtual Labs] the entry was no longer there. When I tried to connect the lab that was still in the vCenter, I got the message that it existed in the configuration. So I have now deleted the VM and set up a new lab. However, I can still see the invisible lab in the dropdown in the individual SureBackup jobs.
I don't know whether a colleague interfered with this. He was travelling alone on the backup server in between and tried to integrate lab PCs into the backup via Windows client. If this was certainly before activating the 4 eyes principle - in the hope that the deletion of the SureBackup environment must also be confirmed at all.

Re: Has anyone ever lost their SureBackup Lab?
Hi David,
Hrm, that doesn't sound normal -- I cannot tell you how it got to this state, but likely this will require a bit of review of the Configuration Database, so I advise open a Support Case and mention the name of the ghost vLab, and also include logs from the Veeam Server itself (3rd radio button, pick the Veeam server from the host list). If your organization's data export policies allow it, please also include a copy of the Veeam Configuration Database backup for Support to investigate.
Please share the case number once you create a case, thanks! I suspect Support will be able to remove the ghost vLab just fine, root cause analysis will depend on the log rotation and when this ghost vLab appeared, but let's see what Support finds.

We are seeing the exact same thing? Any news on this issue and how to resolve it?

Hi JeroenL,
The tc never responded with a case as far as I'm aware, so no investigation was done. The Virtual Labs must not disappear from the console unless you specifically intend to remove it, so if you're seeing the same, I advise open a Support Case and mention the name of the ghost vLab, and also include logs from the Veeam Server itself (3rd radio button, pick the Veeam server from the host list).
