having orphaned files and folders after surebackup
Hi everyone,
I found this thread here vmware-vsphere-f24/orphaned-vm-s-after- ... 15510.html, but I don't think that it's the same in our case...
I'm running "normal" surebackup jobs on a certain host but it seems that the cleanup isn't going properly as on the Datastore in the "SureBackup"-Folder I see a lot of other sub-folders and they have vmdk- and vmsn-files. They don't have any other files, so it seems that the cleanup-process somehow worked but maybe got interrupted. As time goes on, this filles the datastore until it's full...
Latest 12.1 patch is installed. Is this a known bug or completely new? Thanks!

Re: having orphaned files and folders after surebackup
Hi Michael,
This is a known issue in 12.1\12.1.1 (certain conditions apply to receive that behavior).
You can contact support to receive a private fix or wait for next product update where fix will be included.
/Thanks!

Thanks Egor, good to know that it was already fixed! Does the fix or the update include doing the cleanup?

Fix\update will make new runs to cleanup it's own traces correctly.
That will not remove existing leftovers from previous runs.

We expect it somewhere in May.
