Health Check for Backup Files - When do you start ?

Post by Romain »

Hello,

After problem withLZ4 block we lost all our backup (reverse incremental), soI want to force maintenance check on jobs

I try :
- I turn on (maintenance, health check) all my jobs (reverse incremental ) every day of the week - > no maintenance check
- I disable all my jobs except one ( and I leave the mainteannce daily ) -> no maintenance check

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/backup/hyp ... check.html ->
" Veeam Backup Performs the health check once a day we qui health check is scheduled . If Reviews another backup job runs on la même session day , Veeam Backup & Replication will not perform the heath check During this job session. "
-> I can not have multiple jobs on the same day ? and run maintenance ?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me.
Sory for my english :)

Hi Romain, this specific statement says that health check is performed only during the first job run on the specific day. It will not be performed again during subsequent job runs on the same day.

Thanks for your reply,

if i have multiple job (chained) every days it's not possible to do healthcheck (every day) ?

Why if a disable all job, plan health check for one (not disabled), schedule my job in 10 min : no health check ?

If your job is triggered several times per day, then all runs starting from the second one will not have a health check. The first job run on any day should perform health check, provided it is scheduled to be performed on that day.
