Hi all,
I would like to achieve the following:
30 days of retention on primary storage
Planned as daily incremental and 1 active full per week.
On Secondary storage:
4 weekly
12 monthly backup copy
1 yearly backup copy
Am I correct if I would like to keep 1 year of retention?
Is this going to work?
Thanks!

Re: Hints for backup strategy
Hi Dario,
Yes, it will work. In order to achieve your goal you need to use regular backup job for the primary repository and backup copy job with GFS retention policy which will sync your backups with an offsite location.
Thanks!

Re: Hints for backup strategy
Keep in mind, though, how GFS restore points are created. Thus, you will still need to have daily restore points that will be created in accordance with simple retention scheme. If daily restore points are totally unnecessary, create a weekly copy interval, select 4 as a number of restore points to keep and enable monthly and yearly GFS. Thanks.
