This may be the wrong place to post this, but i'm trying to find a hosted service to send VEEAM backups to as part of an offsite backup policy. No need to ever spin up a server offsite, but do need the data in the event of a catastrophic event (fire, flooding, hurricane, etc) that affects the campus. Long RTO (a week or two is not an issue).
Initially considered using something like Azure, spinning up one or two windows servers running VEEAM, with a site to site connection, and running backups to it (using VEEAM's built in WAN accelerator), but the cost of storage and the servers is ridiculous (2x servers with a 15TB data volume in each comes out to $2000/month).
Wondering what options are out there - I've got to believe this is something that comes up frequently.
Even considered just buying a physical server with a couple of large drives, running VEEAM, and placing it in a colocation datacenter, but then we have to worry about MPLS circuits and bandwidth, physical maintenance of the server, etc.
Let me know any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks in advance

Re: Hosted VEEAM backup service
Hi,
in version 8 we introduced Veeam Cloud Connect (http://www.veeam.com/blog/welcome-veeam ... nnect.html) a new technology specifically design to allow service providers to offer offsite backup repositories as a service.
In the software you can hit the "find a service provider" option under backup infrastructure -> service providers, or you can browse the available providers in your country here: http://www.veeam.com/find-a-veeam-cloud-provider.html and search for "cloud repositories".
The links go to the different providers offers, and many have a free trial.
