Hi,
I heard a Veeam SE say today that all datastores must have an identical block size for hotadd in virtual appliance mode to work.
I was under the impression that as long as the datastore that the Veeam Backup server was on had the LARGEST ( lets say the max 8MB ) block size, then the block size of the other datastores doesn't matter.
Is it the case that all datastores must have equal block size for Veeam to use/support hot-add, and if so why ?

Re: HotAdd Clarification In Regards to Blocksize

That is correct.chamdor wrote:I was under the impression that as long as the datastore that the Veeam Backup server was on had the LARGEST ( lets say the max 8MB ) block size, then the block size of the other datastores doesn't matter.
