Hotlink like functionality?

I am in the process of revamping our DR/BC plan and I came across Hotlink DR Express. They basically leverage AWS as a DR site and integrate directly with vCenter. Its not just a repo for backups - its server replication that is turned into AWS instances when needed.

I realized this sounds like a marketing spam but its not! I really just want to see Veeam build something like this!!!!!

I don't have relevant experience with the above mentioned product, so can you elaborate on the desired functionality? Are you after replicating VMs from on premise directly to AWS?

Yes to EC3 storage (cheap) not actual instances yet. Then when an event occurs and you initiate a failover, the software creates AWS instances and handles all the networking reconfig.

Mean while, AWS shows in vCenter as a Host and shows the replicated VM under the AWS host.

FYI - I sat in on a webinar and while I don't agree they are a direct competitor, they mentioned Veeam several times.
