Hi,
I'm fairly new to Veeam and to handling DR Backups as well...
I'm working on configuring an offsite backup to another location.
Currently, it transfers over the VPN and am only getting about 500-600 kb/s upload. the upload speed is 5 mb/s so it should be quite a bit faster.
the download is 20mb/s so it's not that either.
I have tried setting it up with a normal VM backup using a proxy on the DR side and am currently trying to use the Cloud backup as well.
I'm thinking the VPN is creating a bottleneck.
How could i set it up (for testing at least) to go outside the VPN?
Thanks!

Re: how do I setup xfer to Offsite
Hi, you cannot go "outside a vpn", you need routed connection between the two Veeam proxies, NAT is not supported and it does not works well.
Just to be sure, you mean speed is 500 Kb or KB (capitol B)? Because in the second case, 600 KBs are at the end 4800 kbs, or 4.8 mb/s, so pretty near to the bandwidth you have.
Luca.

Re: how do I setup xfer to Offsite
And what are the bottleneck statistics for the job?I'm thinking the VPN is creating a bottleneck.
Thanks.

Re: how do I setup xfer to Offsite
I'm using the Cloud software for this one so I don't see bottleneck stats that I can find...
Luca, You're right! the # is 500-600 KB so we are good.
