How does certain full backups work

hello, I hope I have chosen the right forum. i got a question: How does certain full backups work?

i configured following task:

• Backup Copy - "Backup-Wednesday"

• Backup repository: a NAS

• Retention policy: 7 days

• certain full backups: 1 weekly, Wednesday

what i expected: 1 full backup wednesday - 6 increment backups
what i get: 1 full backup - >20 increment backups

where is the fault?

Your expectations are certainly correct.

This is arguably the most common schedule type and there's no known issues around this functionality.
So it's something about your particular setup that prevents weekly full backups from being created.

You should investigate this with support.
