How to combine SQL log backups and VM replication

We have some SQL servers on which we have enabled SQL log backups every 1 hour.
We are working on a DR which will include replication of those servers. My issue is, since the replicas need to be in an Application Consistent state, how do we avoid causing issues with the log truncation and log backups between the primary backups and the replications?

Hi Dimitris

Have you tried with "Perform copy only" in your replica jobs?
Copy Only will not change the log sequence number when doing replicas with guest processing.

Thanks for the reply, I know about the Copy Only, however will the replica be in an Application Consistent or Crash Consistent state?
