How to do daily, weekly, monthly and annually backup ?
Hello everyone,
I'm beginning with veeam backup and I'm trying to create my backup plan.
Here is what I need :
- Job1 is created,
- I want to backup Job1 daily (with 2 weeks retention) , weekly (with 2 weeks retention) , monthly (with 2 months retention) and annually (with 1 year retention)
- I've create a first Job for daily and weekly with the "Active full backup" option set on saturday and with 14 restore points --> Is it ok for this ?
- I've create a second Job for monthly, with this option and schedule like this with 2 restores points.
The problem with this, it's that in the first Job, I can't deny some days like the last saturday of every month.
So the first backup and the second backup will both run at the same time.
Same problem for the annually backup.
Do you know how to do this please ?
Thanks

To achieve the desired retention you will need to create a backup copy job with GFS retention policy enabled. More information regarding it can be found here. Thanks!

Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
I will test it but I have only one NAS to backup my files (for the moment).
It will working if I backup on the NAS, and copy the backup on the same NAS but on a different repository ?
