I need to achieve site to site replication using Veeam B&R 9.5. I intend to create a VPN tunnel using OPNsense at both sites.
While both ESXI 5.5 hosts are at the same site and on the same subnet 192.168.2.0/24, B&R replication is easy and works nicely.
For the VPN to work, I understand both sites must be on a different subnet, so host B is now on 192.168.3.0/24.
As both host A and host B (still together at the same site) reach the internet through OPNsense firewall then a VDSL router on 10.0.1.0/24 with gateway 10.0.1.254, how do I setup and test replication is still ok, before trying the VPN tunnel?
Advice or links to anything that will assist me, much appreciated.

Re: How to do site to site replication?
Hi,
Did I get it right - you want to test a cross-site replication without VPN before going with VPN? If so, then you'll have to open some ports between the sites, please check this diagram to get the idea of what should be opened. It is also worth checking VeeamPN.
Thanks
