Hi, All

how to do the right setting, for backup with scale-out repository. if the desired result is as follows:
- backups saved to Performance Tier will remain in accordance with the retention policy

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

As far as I understand, you are asking for the "copy" checkbox. See https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110

Hi, HannesK

I've done the settings as in the tutorial, but the backup results in the capacity-tier are only stored for the last 14 retentions, and other old backups disappear from the capacity-tier. here are the backup settings that I use :

Here is the result we expected, please help

Hello,
with a retention of 7 days configured (first screenshot), having 14 days is already the "best case" :-) I assume that you use forward incremental retention with synthetic full. Animation

My answer was using only the "copy" checkbox. With 7 days retention, the "move" after 7 days is irrelevant. There is simply nothing to move with only 7 days retention.

"Copy" means 1:1 copy of your performance tier. Like a storage mirror.

Best regards,
Hannes
