How to optimise my configuration
Hello,
I've got Veeam B&R installed on a Windows Server 2012r2 connected with a Neo T24 tape librairie.
95% of the infrastructure is on VMware vSphere 5.5, et the remaining is 2 physical server (one AIX and a Windows Server 2008r2).
I'n using ArcServe Backup R16 on a virtual machine to backup the AIX's file and the physical server's file.
Veeam if configured with 2 job :
- Job1 : incremental on week days / Full on saturday / Export full job to tape on Sunday
- Job2 : only export Arcserve Files to tape on wednesday
I wan't Job1 to backup the Arcserve virtual machine (or just the Arcserve backup file).
Do you have any suggestion which can help me ?
Thanks

Re: How to optimise my configuration
Hi,
You can configure your Job1 in such way that it will backup only the drive that contains ArcServer backup files. Please see this article for details.
Thank you.

Re: How to optimise my configuration
Hi PTide,
Thanks for the answer. I'm looking in my job1 settings and all I can backup is VM. I can't put file or a complete drive.
I didn't mentioned it but the ArcServe Backup is installed on a separate system (VM on the vCenter) and connected with a iSCSI drive.
Thanks

Not sure what you mean - can you click "Exclusions" - "Edit" and specify disks that you're willing to backup?nd all I can backup is VM

Re: How to optimise my configuration
Just to clarify the situation a bit - jobs you're talking about are backup or tape jobs? Thanks.

Job1 is a Backup Job.
I've got another job called by Job1 which is a Tape Job

So, have you tried specifying disks exclusions in your Backup Job1 via "Exclusions" - "Edit" ?
