I have a request from my boss to explore the possibility of performing only once a week backup for some application servers.
His argument is that these servers do not have any changes or very minimal changes everyday, thus there's no need to perform daily incremental. Just do 1 full backup every week.
Is it possible to configure such setup in Veeam? How much restore point should I put? Also in the advance settings there's no way to turn off the incremental settings in backup mode. Eventhough i select Create Active full backups periodically, incremental still being selected.

Re: How to perform weekly only backups?
Hello,
I ask myself why he wants a weekly full. I mean, a weekly incremental would save a lot more disk space (I guess that's the reason why he wants no incrementals)
If you set the schedule to "on these weekdays" and select only the day when you want to have your backup, that should work for both scenarios (mine and your boss)
Best regards,
Hannes
