How to rename Vmware Backup Proxy

using VeeamONE v12 or Veeam Backup Server v12,

Is there any way for us, as Veeam users/customers, to change the name of the 'VMware Backup Proxy' to something more meaningful?

I want to upvote this. It would be great to be able to rename det default proxy servers.
I have also submitted this as a feature request in case # 07377860.

I was told that my feature request was submitted, and that R&D would see if it was possible to implement in a future version. Then case was then closed. I guess this is the standard response when you submit a feature request. Hopefully if enough people do submit a feature request through support, R&D will take notice.

@Egor Yakovlev could you check on this? The Veeam ONE report above demonstrates the issue pretty clearly

The only reason why it cannot be done is if this name is used as a unique identifier of a built-in proxy.
In this case - not a great solution technically and can be replaced with some flag instead?

Absolutely.
Will check with Veeam ONE team too, I think they had some plans for default proxies naming too.
