How to use Veeam 4 Initial replica to external storage?
We have installed Veeam 4 and trying to setup initial replication to a USB external hdd.
Setting up the initial replication to USB is easy enough as it is an option in the replication wizard. But how do we actually import the intial replica files on the usb storage into the DR hosts?

Hello Tze Liang,
If you select the Perform initial replication over this removable storage check box and choose a necessary device from the list. Veeam Backup & Replication 4.0 will save a replica to the selected device and along with it will create a README.txt file with a path on the target host where a replica should be transferred (path you specified in the Replica destination section), so just use the instructions from that file.
Thank you.

Albert,
You can have an ESXi/ESX host as a source for that, however as a target you should be using ESX host only, cause right now ESXi cannot be selected as a target for replication, but ESXi support as a target is already planned for our future releases.
Thank you.

oh OK
Any ETA probably for the ESXi support ?
because all of my Production host is in ESXi 4.0 if it is still one year ahead, I can reinstall all to ESX 4 this weekend.
