howto run script after backup
I would like run a script (batchfile) after a suc6full backup has run (to create a file that works as a "flag" for another process so if the file exist another scripts kicks in)
I've configured it in the backup job, but it exits with error 1 according to veeam
How do i know which user of veeam runs the script, so i can give this veeam user the proper permissions to write the file that the script is trying to create.
Kind Regards
Gerard

Re: howto run script after backup
Hi Gerard,
Scripts are executed under the Service Account which the Veeam Backup Service is running.
Please review the article in the User Guide for additional information. Thanks!

Thank you kindly for you reply,
The article you are reffering to is the article i used to program the script, but i am unbale to find WHICH account is running the veeam backup service.
Is there a powershell command which i can use to SEE WHICH ACCOUNT is running the veeam backup service?
Kind Regards
Gerard

You can open the service properties and check the account there.

Re: howto run script after backup
Hmm i gues you don't understand my question.
WHICH USER is running the Veeam backup service so i can give this user the permission to write the "flag" file to another machine in the domain.
We installed the backup service as the domain admin, but the file is'nt written and the backup job that suppose to run the script says: "post-job script terminated with exit code 1"
And NO FILE is written to the target by the batchfile that is suppose to copy the empty file called "backupready.txt"
If this txt file exist, anther job is suppose to start running...
Kind Regards
Gerard
