HP P2000 G3 Snapshots

Hi All,

I've done so many searches through veeam so apologies if I've just managed to get a keyword wrong or something but I'm wondering if anyone knows if Veeam supports the SAN Snapshotting features offered by the HP P2000 G3, I've tried to add it before but couldn't get it to work, I've got a multiple TB organisation and trying to snapshot production VM's is getting painfully slow to the point I'm having to do end of day replications just to avoid VM stun issues in the infrastructure.

Anyone had any luck with getting that to work?

Hi Michael,

Veeam B&R supports these HP storage currently:

HP 3PAR StoreServ
• Fibre Channel (FC) or iSCSI connectivity.
• 3PAR OS 3.1.2 or later.

HP StoreVirtual (LeftHand / P4000 series) and StoreVirtual VSA
• iSCSI connectivity only.
• SAN/iQ version 9.5 or later.

Okay so good to know I'm not just overlooking something obvious, any plans to support the more SMB portion of the SAN market? I've got an Enterprise Plus license for the advanced functionality such as WAN accelerator to support the multi-site setup but I don't have the level of budget available to invest heavily in SAN infrastructure like that unfortunately and I'm sure a lot of people are in my position.

As far as I know, there are no plans to expand storage snapshot capabilities to P2000 G3 series in the next major release.
