I use Veeam Backup Community Edition, is there any way to monitor failed jobs?

Post by wajika »

I want to record Veeam Backup failed jobs and other tasks. Is there any easy way?

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

There are several options built-in: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110

I like the "last 24 hours" at the left side of the "Home" view

If you are new to Veeam, I recommend the quick start guide: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/qsg_vsphere/

Best regards,
Hannes

You can use Veeam One too in the community Edition (10 VMs to monitor). It gives you better monitoring capabilities for your backup jobs. But it's a little bit more complicated as a simple reporting feature from Veeam Backup & Replication like Hannes mentioned.

Adding my 2 cents: email notifications might be also helpful, they can be sent depending on job status - "notify on" checkbox. You may configure it in global options or in job settings.

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply, I have used veeam one.
But it has some problems, such as sometimes unable to connect to "Veeam Backup & Replication", and the alarm is not timely.

If you don't have anything against scripting, you can find some inspiration in the corresponding subforums (in this thread, for instance). Thanks!
