I want to backup daily 9 Am and 8 PM incremental backups

Hi All,

I am trying to Backup file servers , i am backup up entire VM's (VMware). use case is to backup 9 AM and 8 PM daily,

in backup job i selected Periodically every 8 hours and in schedule i selected from 9 AM to 11 AM. but it is not working.

Hi, it makes sense why your setup does not work... the User Guide explains the reason quite well in the periodic schedule section.

There are a number of ways to set this up. For example, I would use Periodically every with 1 hour (default) and block everything except the 9am and 8pm slots in the scheduling window control. This way the scheduler will do a check every hour, but only start the job twice a day when it gets to the allowed time slot.
