Hi, for an unsolvable problem in my last Veeam server installation , I must recreate a new Veeam B&R server, recreate Repository and import Disks from that, where there are very long chain on daily backup, I want to continue this chain with the same job.
I try to import Last configuration from old server, but this recreate the same problem on my new server, so i'm forced to create a new Veeam server from zero and in this way I solve the problem.
I recreate all replication Job, but I'm not able to recreate BackupJob in way that they can continue the backup chain existing and imported. I try to create with the same name and the same configuration, but it recreate a new chain.
Is it possible to continue existing chain after installation in new server?
thanks to everyone.

Re: Import backup job for continue chain built in previous Veeam Server
Hello Valerio
An imported backup chain can be continued if the source hosts is still the same.
1.) Connect the same virtualization host to the backup server
2.) Create a repository
3.) Copy the backups (VBM, VBK and VIBs) to the repository --> Important, VBM file is required. Without the VBM file, job mapping is not possible.
4.) Rescan your repository --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
5.) Create a backup job and use mapping to map the job to the backup files --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
If this process doesn't work for you, then please contact our customer support and let them investigating the logs and your backup server.
Best,
Fabian
