Hi,
I have a (forever) incremental backup of some VMs running every night. Now I want to create a new backup job (incremental forever) for one vmdk of one of those VMs which backup this single vmdk every hour or so to a NAS. This should cover the situation "I just overwrite my .docx I created this morning, now its lost".
My question is:
Will the next incremental backup at night be based on the *last incremental backup of this standard job* or will it be the based *on the last (hourly) backup of the VMs vmdk* ?
Does someone know how it work?

Re: incremental backups of the same VM with different jobs
Two jobs will be independent on each other, each creating its own backup chain. Thanks.

Re: incremental backups of the same VM with different jobs
If the need for granular file restoration for this particular VM is higher than for other VMs, it might stand to reason to exclude this VM from existing job and creating a separate job for it as a whole (not just for specific VM disks) and use more frequent schedule for it. Thanks.
