Install Sql Server 2012 Service Pack 3

Hi,

i am on an update journey, and i have a server running Veeam which asks for installing Sql Server 2012 Service Pack 3.
I'm perfectly happy with the way my Veeam setup works,is there any "risk" if i apply this service pack ?
I searched the forums an did not find anything related.

Florian,

You should be fine with installing maintenance updates to your SQL Server. Just to be on the safe side, make a configuration backup of your deployment via Veeam built-in engine.
