Re: install VBR in cluster and DR replaction
Hi Sandip, the best practice is to install Veeam B&R instance responsible for replication in the target site - in this case, you will be able to perform automatic failover from Veeam B&R console. Please note that Veeam B&R doesn't need to be a physical server - you can have it running as a VM on the target host.

As I've mentioned, you can install the Veeam B&R in the target site and make sure you have the proxy on the source for optimal data transfer.

Re: install VBR in cluster and DR replaction
Hi Sandip,
It's still not clear why you cannot install Veeam B&R on the target site as Foggy proposed.
Also, I'm curious to know on which hypervisor are you running your workloads? If you're going to protect Nutanix AHV cluster, then I'd suggest to read this guide.
Thanks!

Re: install VBR in cluster and DR replaction
Hello,
Thanks, for your help
I know it's a good solution Foggy solution but my customer requirement is can we actually create a cluster of a VBR where if one of the VBR server crashes, the other VBR server can run the existing jobs as usual without any downtime.
so we need help on my senario.
Thanks
Sandip

Re: install VBR in cluster and DR replaction
Hi Sandip,
We have no built-in clustering mechanism but configuration backup will help you to address the customer's requirement. In case of disaster with VBR you will be able to spin up a new VM or to use an existing one to restore configuration on it.
Alternatively, if you had a dedicated SQL server to run Veeam configuration database on and the primary VBR server was crashed, this tool would help you to connect a spare VBR instance to the existing database.
Thanks!
